After years of theoretical studies and a degree in Musicology earned at the University of Bologna, Giacomo Guadagna shifts his interests on a parallel track, and yet a more tangible and practical one: that of guitar-making.
In 2006 he set on for a learning path that lasted 5 years at the School of Artistic Handicraft in Cento-Pievese, mainly focusing on the construction of plucked and bowed string instruments.
In the years which followed, he has attended advanced courses focusing on the technique of French polishing, the design and realization of the mosaic rosette, and the construction of Classical and Flamenca Guitar in Cádiz.
In 2008 he moved to Castiglion Fiorentino, located in the heart of Tuscany, in which he has designed his own workshop and started his professional activity as a guitar maker.
Today, he mainly builds classical guitars, acoustic guitars and ukuleles. All of his instruments and all related components are both designed and built inside his workshop.
